Tony Campana was selected in the 13th Round by the Cubs in the 2008 MLB draft. He spent 2008 in Mesa and Boise. In 2009, he played for Peoria for just 18 games before his promotion to Daytona. Campana hit .284 for the D-Cubs and stole 55 bases during that '09 season. The left-handed hitting outfielder spent the entire 2010 season with Double-A Tennessee, hitting .319 and accumulating 48 more swiped bags. He got off to a red-hot start with Iowa in 2011 before getting called up to replace Tyler Colvin on the big league roster. He debuted on May 17, 2011 and doubled in his first Major League at-bat. Overall in 2011, the speedster posted a .259/.303/.301/.604 line with an inside-the-park home run and 24 stolen bases in 26 chances in 95 games and 155 plate appearances.
