Drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the 39th round of the 2002 amateur draft.
After spending eight seasons in the Seattle Mariners organization, Bryan LaHair signed with the Cubs heading into the 2010 season. For the the Seattle Mariners in 2008 in 150 plate appearances, LaHair hit .250 with 3 home runs and 10 RBI. He was called up the Cubs in September first after setting a franchise record in Iowa with 38 homers while hitting .331 in 146 games. The left-handed hitting late bloomer tore it up in Chicago for the remainder of the season. In 20 games and 69 plate appearances, LaHair had a .288/.377/.508/.885 clip with five doubles, two homers and six RBI. Even with the acquisition of Anthony Rizzo, LaHair is slated to finally get his chance as the Cubs starting first baseman in 2012.
